Nondiscrimination & Equal Access

West County Salesian Youth Club welcomes young people and families and is committed to equal access to membership, programs and services. We do not discriminate on the basis of actual or perceived race, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, sex, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, medical condition, genetic information, marital status, citizenship, primary language, immigration status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law, including association with a person with one or more of these characteristics.

This commitment applies to membership applications, enrollment, participation and access to Club services. Lawful program age ranges, eligibility requirements and capacity limits are applied consistently and are not used as a substitute for discrimination.

Accessibility & Participation Support

Families may contact us to discuss disability-related access needs, reasonable modifications or communication support. We will consider requests individually and work with the family to identify appropriate options consistent with applicable law. Decisions will be based on the individual circumstances, not assumptions or stereotypes about a disability. Safety concerns will be assessed individually, including whether reasonable modifications can address them.

Contact info@wcsyc.org or (510) 215-4646 to start that conversation. Please do not include sensitive medical information in a general website message; ask staff how to share relevant information appropriately.

Respectful Participation

We ask members, families and visitors to treat one another and Club staff with respect, follow staff directions and program-specific safety rules, and help care for shared spaces and equipment. Discrimination, harassment, bullying and retaliation are not acceptable.

If a young person feels unsafe or needs help, they should tell a staff member. For an immediate emergency, call 911.
